Majorca is an Island in the Balearic island chain, off the coast of Spain. The island is located in the Mediterranean climate zone; however these islands unlike the canaries have a wet season. The wet, cold season lasts October through February. But the warm season is much more delightful than the canaries; its location couples a high humanity with a not too high summer temperature. What you really get is great weather to truly enjoy your holiday, a light breeze, and no heavy congested air.
Both the islands on, and off season, is great for walking or biking tours. The west coast of Majorca in particular is great for walking tours, for you or your whole family to enjoy. March and April seem to be the best months, to experience the best of Majorca’s weather.
The light breeze during these peak months are the best, and help keep that “not too high summer temperature” I mentioned earlier, down. The islands climate also helps its beaches water become a tad warmer than other Spanish island chains (primarily I mean the canaries). For whatever dips in temperature the islands winter creates, it makes up for with its near perfect summer weather.
But don’t get me wrong, as with any tropical paradise, the weather can sometimes be unpredictable but this is where Majorca villas come into play. If you like variety and are willing to take a risk, Majorca weathers many moods can be invigorating to that spontaneous holiday.
It is said however, it can get a little cold and wet during the winter months, so be prepared if that’s when you will be going. Overall Majorca is pleasant during the spring and summer, and for those who like a vacation off the beaten path, then choose to go there during the rest of the year.
